Public Hearings on Child Tax Credit and CT Grown for CT Kids Set for Wednesday, February 26

CHILD TAX CREDIT - Participate in the Hearing and/or Submit your Testimony

The Finance Committee will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 26 at 11 AM, featuring two Child Tax Credit bills—SB 740 (Looney) and HB 5986 (House Dems). Submit your testimony here. Use this template for individuals and this template for organizations.

CT GROWN FOR CT KIDS - Participate in the Hearing and/or Submit your Testimony

The Education Committee will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 26 at 10 AM, including HB 7013 requesting funding for the CT Grown for CT Kids Grant Program. Submit your testimony here. Use the CT Farm to School Collaborative’s template here.

Is your nonprofit interested in advocacy but unsure what’s allowed? Join United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut for a Zoom training on the basics of lobbying in Connecticut, including what qualifies as lobbying, registration and filing requirements, and guidelines for reporting expenses for public officials. There will be time for Q&A, and registrants will receive presentation slides for future reference. Registration required.
