Since 2009, United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut has partnered with the City of Danbury to administer Social Service Grants. Organizations in the Greater Danbury area serving Danbury residents that provide services in one of the following three areas will be eligible for funding and are invited to apply:
- Housing and shelter
- Mental health
- Food security
Beginning this grant cycle, the City of Danbury will implement a blind review process for grant applications. This means that reviewers will not have access to identifying information of the organization or program when reading and scoring the application narrative. Review the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for more information or join us for one of the scheduled information sessions to learn how to prepare a Blind Proposal.
Application materials are available here on our website at www.uwwesternct.org/grant-opportunities. Completed applications and supporting documentation must be submitted on United Way’s grant software no later than October 2, 2025, by 11:59 PM.
Agencies with questions about the application process and volunteers interested in serving on the grant review committee should contact Victoria Scofield at victoria.scofield@uwwesternct.org.
