New SNAP Loading Schedule
Currently, DSS loads both SNAP and Cash benefits over the first 3 days of the month based on the first letter of the cardholder's last name.
Beginning March 1, 2026:
- SNAP benefits will be loaded over the first 8 days of the month
- Cash benefits will be loaded on the 1st of the month only
- SNAP benefits will now be loaded based on the last two digits of the client's Client ID according to this schedule.
Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) Ignite Grant
The Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) is excited to announce the next round of our Ignite Grant Program, which will open February 3rd, 2026! The deadline to apply is March 18th, 2026. CTSBDC Small Business Training
The SMARTUp program at CTSBDC partners with nonprofits to deliver free, customized small-group business trainings for community members who are beginning their entrepreneurial journey in CT, whether they have just started a business (0–2 years) or bring experience from running businesses elsewhere. Full Scholarships for Stamford Youth: Become a Certified Personal Trainer!
RF Youth Boxing, a Stamford-based nonprofit, is celebrating 20 years of service by offering full scholarships for Stamford high school students to enroll in the Revolution Training Academy—a fitness career–training program designed to prepare students to earn their nationally accredited NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification.
This unique opportunity provides students with immediate career pathways and college-aligned opportunities in the growing fitness industry.

Career Pathways for Youth Program
The Career Pathways for Youth Program, presented by Family & Children’s Agency (FCA), helps young adults (ages 18 to 25) enroll in CT State certificate programs and builds a path toward paid internships and jobs in healthcare and hospitals. Students will receive support from FCA and gain opportunities to get paid internships with FCA and Norwalk Hospital with the goal of long-term employment at the hospital. Tuition help is available for eligible participants.

Alliance for Community Empowerment, in partnership with M&T Bank, is offering a free Financial Wellness Program to help community members build strong money management skills. Infant Massage Classes
Families Network continues to offer FREE infant massage classes for parents of children birth to six months. Parents will explore the many benefits of massaging their baby while learning how to read their babies' clues and improve communication and bonding with their infant. The classes are five weeks long, and parents must be able to attend every class. For more information, contact Families Network at 203-791-8773.
SEAT Community Leader Engagement – Referral Opportunity
We are inviting community leaders who have strong connections with Black and Latino residents to share the SEAT program with individuals who may be interested in participating.
This opportunity is intended for individuals who are interested in leadership development and community impact. If your organization has strong relationships with community members who may be a good fit, we encourage you to pass this along. The accelerated SEAT program in Danbury begins Saturday, February 21, 2026.
