Town of Redding Housing Assistance Fund

Applications open, first come first serve. Funding decisions will be made on a rolling basis.

 

Are you in need of support with basic needs, including but not limited to housing, utilities, child care, summer camp, auto and home repairs, food, and more? Families living at or below the ALICE household survival budget my qualify for assistance from the Town of Redding.

The Town of Redding has allocated $20,000 for a Basic Needs Fund. This Fund will provide financial support to eligible households for basic needs assistance. The Town has partnered with United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut to oversee the application process and distribution of funds.   

APPLY FOR BASIC NEEDS FUND ASSISTANCE TODAY!

  1. Before completing the application make sure you have the following required documents handy (Pictures of these documents are fine as long as they are readable.): 

    • Identification Documents (Include for EACH individual member that has an income) 

    • Income Documentation (Include for EACH individual member that has an income) 

    • Tax Documents (Include for EACH individual member that has an income) 

    • Additional document requirements depend on the type of basic needs assistance requested. Please note that only ONE type of assistance can be applied for with this application. A full list of acceptable forms of these documents can be found here.  

  2. After gathering the required documents, scroll down on this page to access the ‘Redding Basic Needs Fund Application’. 

  1. United Way of Coastal and Western CT will notify basic needs fund recipients on a rolling basis by email.
